Significant changes have been made to our curriculum over recent months to ensure that each child has a rich journey of learning that builds on skills and knowledge from year group to year group. Core and non-core curriculum learning is within a whole class setting, meaning that children of all abilities can share and challenge ideas. 

However, we are also aware that children who are identified as Greater Depth require additional provision in order to be stretched in their learning. Therefore, within each subject, is a built in opportunity for children to problem solve, make links across the curriculum and look at learning from different perspectives. 

We are also acutely of the power of communication. All staff want our pupils to have the chance to develop their verbal and written communication. These skills will be the building blocks for future job and university applications. As a result, we will challenge More Able pupils to formally express their understanding, scaffolding responses to their opinions with sentence stems and subject-specific vocabulary.
